If you've read my post from Monday, you know a lot's been going on. A lot's still going on, but I just want to quickly share with you a quotation I got in an email from my Mom a while ago. It's helped me a great deal so far, and I hope it can be of benefit for you too. Especially those of you, YAV or not, that might be having a rough go if it right now. The email didn't attribute the words to anyone in particular, but my internet research (for whatever that's worth) credits them to Mother Teresa. Also, in the interest of accurate citations, I'm the one that made words italic and bold...so. To the point:
Today may there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.
I've also found myself re-reading YAVA Luke's poem from last year's orientation. It just seems so fitting, still. If you missed it in my post following our transition retreat back in September, click here.
Love,
Allison
